Despite everyone's great reviews, I find this wine very odd, sort of sickly-fruity. Galloni says it is a wine of "texture." I agree, but I feel like the texture is more like Rhone than Piedmont.

Fabulous! Deep garnet color. Currants, anise and mushroom on the nose with hints of dark earth and violet candy. Thick mouthfeel, soft arc that takes its time, lingering finish with raspberry (ends on higher note than the nose).

Very rich, not a traditional Chablis, but a nice white Burgundy, especially for this price point. This is our third bottle over about 3 years, and we've gone up on the rating each time, so looks like this is worth laying down for a bit.
