PNP. Could have used an hour decant. Tannins not completely resolved. Very drinkable now but will be better in 5 plus years. Earth, dark berry. Great mouthfeel and well balanced. Excellent wine.
Red
2000 Château Sociando-Mallet Haut-Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
Need to drink 1 hour after opening. Prior to that palate was thin and 2 hours after opening the palate got weak again. Earth dark berry.
Red
This is excellent. Did not enjoy this wine until it was 20 years old. I believe the key to enjoying Aussie shiraz or grenache is to let it age to at least 20 years. Even the low end Torbreck Woodcutter turned a major corner at 20 years.
White - Sparkling
Way too young IMO. Will wait at least 10 years.
Red
PNP. Earth, plum, cherry, dark berry. Very nice
Red
Decanted 1 hour. Floral, well balanced, tannins resolved. Great QPR. Can imagine this would be excellent with a a dish with octupus. Had this with pasta with capers, olives, and rose harrisa paste which added a slight bit of heat and it paired well.

PNP and then decanted and tasted over 5 hours. From other notes I assumed the wine would open up after 5 hours but it never did. Light throughout and disappointing for what it is.
Red
On PMP, heavy raspberry. Decanted 2 hours and then it was spectacular.
Red
PNP. Coming alive at 23 years old. Earth, cherry, balanced, delicious.

2010 Château Talbot St. Julien Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
PNP. Was closed. Drank over 30 minutes in glass and needed more time. In fridge over night. Opened up next day and was wonderful. I will decant for at least 2 hours next bottle or combo double decant with open decant before serving.

2010 Château Talbot St. Julien Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
Double decanted for 1 hour and was drinking beautifully. Rich mid palate. Will consume remaining bottles over the next 10 years.
Red
One hour in decanter and could have benefitted from another hour. Dark cherry, earth. Tannins well integrated.
Red
2000 Château Quinault L'Enclos St. Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
PNP. Fully mature and ready to drink.
Red
2000 Château Angélus St. Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
Decanted 2 hours and in glass 1 hour. Amazing nose (score based on nose) but still way too young. Has not yet come together. At least 5 more years before I revisit.
Red
Way to early. Thin and light. Great nose, but palet just not ready. Probably needs 10 more years.
White
Opened bottle 1 hour in advance in wine cellar. Spectacular wine with massive fruit and no hard edges. Shocked it is drinking so well at age 3! Everyone's wWOTN in a very impressive lineup.

PNP. Has blossomed with multiple layers of flavors, balanced throughout. Definitely in it's drinking window.Drastic improvement over the last time I tasted 5 years ago.

I tasted this wine in 2014 and did not like it. This wine is now absolutely wonderful with tertiary flavors and excellent balance and a very elegant mouth feel. I find that syrah and grenache based wines need 20 years before they really come alive. I bought some Parker highly rated Clarendon wines which are shiraz and grenache. I did not like them at all until they were 20 years old. Now they are incredible.

1989 Château Lynch-Bages Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
Decanted 1 hour before and drank over an hour. This needed MUCH more decanting. The nose is spectacular but the taste is still somewhat closed and would have been spectacular with 6 hours of decanting. Bought this at a steakhouse so I was doubly ($$$) disappoited. Why don't more restaraunts have corkage fees? I would gladly pay a $100 corkage fee to bring my own wine.

2015 Pavillon Blanc du Château Margaux Bordeaux Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend (view label images)
PNP. Has turned a corner. At 8 years old it is fabulous. Wish I had waited on the previous 3 bottles. I think it is just now hitting it's stride.

Golden color. Honey and some tropical friut in the background. I just can't wrap my head around this wine. Not sure what I would eat with this and it is not a knockout which I could enjoy by itself without food. Maybe it's just not my style. I'll try with stuffed calamari next time as Monica Larner recommends.
White
Crisp, light, tropical fruit, well balanced and excellent with escarole with garlic and olive oil. Can’t beat qpr at $25.
Red
Opened bottle 1 hour before drinking. Big and powerful, well balanced. Lots of life left, but drinking well now.
Red
There is a bitterness dominating this wine which is unpleasant. Maybe this will go away with time, but right now this covers up the underlying flavors. Will try again in several days. Won't try another bottle for 5 years.

Excellent QPR for everyday white. Great acidity with orchard fruit and is well balanced.
White
Thin athroughout with minimal taste. Bottle was stored correctly. Maybe I drank it too early, but after a taste and a repeat taste the folowing day, I threw the $190 bottle of wine down the drain. 96 rating by Neal Martin ????????
White
Outstanding. Tropical fruits and a nutty background.

Weak throughout. Maybe it just needs time to mature, but unimpressive

Update: Initially closed, but after several hours opened and filled in nicely. Increased my score to 85 after being opened for 4 hours. Would expect this to be a $30 everyday burgundy, but with the crazy burgundy prices now, this may be an acceptable price. Won't try another bottle until 2026.
Red
Not ready. Will need at least 5 more years. Just not that interesting now.

Day 2: still muted and not interesting. Is this wine dead or in a dumb phase?
White
Ready to drink and wonderful!
