Wine is losing steam. Needed to drink sooner.

Outstanding vintage. Drank this next to 2006 Insignia and hands down the Futo won.

Still drinkable at 8 years old, although I don't think this vintage will last much longer. Drank while eating BBQ which worked given the spice of the BBQ and the sweetness of the wine.

Opened last two bottles of these. Unfortunately, not a good showing. Both were a bit musty and most of the fruit was gone. Likely past its prime.

A bit musty on day 1, as we did not decant it very long. Better on day 2, but this wine is getting to the end of its drinkable timeline.

Rich, oaky and flavorfull. Good wine if that is what you like, but may be a bit much for those that prefer a more subtle chardonnay.

Too much dust and earth for my taste. Stick with their Cabernet.

Very tight and tannic when opened. Decanted for 4 hours, and much improved. Still too young for this this wine - will wait another few years for the next bottle.

Outstanding fruit, long finish. Drinking very bold right now. Can drink now or hold for many years. Great vintage.

Bold fruit, almost spicy / peppery on the finish. With the potency of this wine, it should age well and mellow over time.

I think this one is past its prime. Earthy and a bit musty, and it seems to have lost a lot of its fruit. Drink fast if you still have this vintage.

I will not buy this wine again. Got the 2006 vintage and had two corked bottles. Now the 2005 seems like is has oxidized even though it has been kept in perfect conditions and should still be good. Would not recommend.

Wine had corked taste to it, but the cork looked fine. Not recommended.

Decanted for an hour. Huge, ripe fruit and big tannins. Outstanding wine now and should last for 5+ years.

Musty smell and taste. Cork looked fine so something was bad with the wine. Would not buy again.

Not one of Neyers better efforts. Fruit seemed a bit "sour", no oak at all. Not what you expect from a Sonoma Chardonnay.

Full fruit, not as oaky as the Beringer Sbragia. Nice balance.

Nice chard, not too much oak. Fairly crisp and clean. Not tremendously memorable either.

Drank with friends for New Year's Eve. Decanted for about 2 hours. Incredible fruit, well balanced, extra long finish. Could stay in the cellar for many years, but it drinks outstanding now as well. Maybe it was the occasion, but this was one of the top wines we have had.

Decanted for 3 hours prior to drinking. Still very tight. Needs a few more years of cellaring.

Not as buttery oaky as other Paul Hobbs chard's. More crisp and clean with some fruit.

A bit tight upon opening, but after decanting for an hour, it opened up. Incredibly smooth with long finish. Minerally at the start with fruit coming out on the finish.

A bit thin and minerally on the palate. Not bad, but not one of their better Chardonnays.

A bit bitter on the first try, it really had not opened up. Tried again a day later and was much smoother. Plan to keep the rest for a long time.

This chard says "look out, I'm coming through" Nothing subtle about it - oak, fruit abound. Very enjoyable on it's own, not sure how it would go with fish, chicken - might even overpower them.

If you like oak and forward fruit, you will love this one. It's got a lot of both. Plus a long finish to boot. Very nice, full chard.
