Reminiscent of a wine I used to buy out of a juice box for 50 cents in Italy...definitely represented better value. Wondering if my bottle is skunked.

Lovely full body, fairly big, spicy. Smoky on the nose. A little over-acidic, not quite perfectly balanced, but close.

Nice smoky nose, fruity, bit of tobacco. This wine, in my opinion, is just reaching maturity. WS says drink by 2006 - I'm going to keep some of mine until 2008 and see how it does.

For a relatively cheap italian wine ($14), this wine is very pleasant, with full fruit balanced with a hint of barnyard, and a nice round finish.

Butter, smooth, toasty. Quick crisp attack followed by round fruit, nice acidity. On the nose, lots of butterscotch.

Very floral, sweet nose. Full, deep first impression. While of course this wine is sweet, there is some depth. A nice bite of acidity and crispness to the wine. Deep sweet fruit.

It's a little bit like church-wine; fortified, sweet wine. Not amazing, with little complexity. That said, tastes strongly of peaches, and it you enjoy that, this is your wine. Just very simple; no depth.

Nice simple spanish red. A bit spicy, a bit watery. Quite quaffable. Drank with a olives on the side and the wine tasted very sweet with the olives, although it wasn't. Nice combination.

Thin color, and a thin wine. Very tangy, with pepper and spice. Don't recommend.

I really enjoyed this wine. It is very typical of Red Mountain fruit. Full, fruity, a bit earthy, and very deep. Wine is a deep, dark, ruby red. Nose is herbal and even a bit dusty. The wine is big, exploding in the mouth with dark plum and spice; very smooth.

This is a very nice, solid Merlot for the money, about $20. Nose is plum, floral, cherries. On the palate it is very well balanced with a sharp acidity, and plenty of fruit. Very full, round, and deep. It has the signature Canoe Ridge taste of dark fruit and earth - plums, blueberries. Finish is medium - quickly come to a point, and then followed by a pleasant slow decay.
White - Sweet/Dessert

Good, solid sauternes. Honey, mixed with almonds, strong alcohol. Rich, deep, but a little astringent. Simple finish, a little sweet.

Good, solid Walla Walla table wine. Not complex, but for $12, very enjoyable. A little acidic, and a little tannic, but decent.

The nose smells like a very fruity, crisp riesling. The first sip is amazing! Crisp, smooth, fruity, yet dry. Very refreshing, clean white wine.

Lovely, full wine. The signature earthy, robust, plum fruit of Canoe Ridge is there in full force. Deep, rich, wine. Very enjoyable.

I bought this wine in order to try a $22 2000 Bordeaux, and I'm somewhat disappointed. The nose is fruity and earthy, but a little dull. The wine displays a certain fullness, as well as earth and leather. But it lacks a certain excitement and vibrancy that I would expect from a good $20 bottle of Washington wine, much less a 2000 Bordeaux.

Inky, dark red in color. Deep, fruity, dark nose. Amazing fruit, heavy tannins - it is very young. You can taste the flavor and fruit behind the tannins waiting to be released as this wine ages. Medium-to-long finish, nice balance, earthy, plum flavor.

Very weak, thin nose. Color is a light red, a little thinner than most good Pinot Noirs. Taste is crisp and tart, very one-dimensional. Not unpleasant, but not a good wine. Tart cherries and strawberries, a little earthy. After sitting a bit longer, it has gotten more tart. A little unbalanced lacking acidity. Definitely would not buy this wine again.

Mouth bursting full of ripe fruit, cherries, plums. Fast attack and then fades. Fairly one-dimensional, but still very enjoyable.

I've always loved White Star, so it's time to write a review. First, it's a little sweet, but not as sweet as a demi-sec. I find it the perfect balance. Very smooth, slightly nutty, with a good crisp bite. For a champagne, the finish is fairly long as it slowly moves towards the rear of the mouth. Mineral and a hint of peach are present.

Dark cranberry red, almost muddy. Ripe, alcoholic, deep, earthy nose. Very fruit forward, full and dark with a long finish. Amazing wine, really enjoyed. With Josh and Frannie.

Beautiful pomegranate ruby color. Nose is reserved, revealing a tiny bit of fruit as it decantes; a little alchoholic on the nose. Very smooth, full, and integrated. Taste is tart cherries, blueberries, earth.

Color is a gorgeous roby red. Nose is cherries, very light fruit. Mouth is fruity, full, silky, slightly spicy and peppery. Dark tones of fruit, earth, and smoke. A little sweet. Great value wine from Carneros.

Dark, brooding nose. Bit of an unpleasant smell of green peppers, went away after 10 minutes and was just left with a nice deep fruit smell. Round, smooth wine. Tannins have smoothed, although the wine is beginning to turn too acidic. I think this wine is past it's peak for sure. Herbal, grassy.

Thin nose of cherries. Taste of cranberries and cherries. Little too tannic and acidic for the fruit. Very rapid decay on the finish. After allowing to decant for 2 hours, really opening up. Although still one-dimensional, intense spice. Liking it more.
