Tasting Notes for TEDL

All I can say is wow. A bit aggressive when we opened it but mellowed nicely after decanting for about an hour. Ruby red, great flavor with nice tannins. Surprised us.

The fruits/jams were the lead on our palates with tannins coming on as well. Overall just good for us due to the dominant fruits and we usually go for a Meritage. There is moderate sediment in the bottle.

We decided to go for a young Insignia thought this was not the best vintage we have had. Seemed... normal. Not outstanding lie other vintages. Maybe time will help.

Stayed tight for quite a while although it was decanted for 90 minutes before we had our first taste. By the end of the meal (3 hours after decanting) it finally has relaxed and the complex flavors came thru nicely.

The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are fast. There is no sediment in the bottle. The body is full. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.
