I admit to being more impressed by this knowing the vintage, but objectively this is an outstanding rendition of a lighter, gentler version of Chave. Very saline with lots of olive emerging on the nose with air. Delicate and silky with beautiful acidity. It feels like we hit the bottle at peak tonight and this was definitely among the favourites at the table tonight. But you know, Chave is Chave.

same as mxpbuy: the outer part of the cork had nearly fused to the glass. interesting enough, but not a celebratory 50th birthday wine in any way shape or form.
