5/4/24, 4:48 AM - Did not decant.
3/14/24, 10:45 AM - No extra air time needed with this bottle.
3/11/24, 7:16 PM - Thanks for your notes. I have a case that I recently cracked. I decant and let it sit for an hour. They are superb.
2/25/24, 8:51 AM - The wine is in its prime with soft tannin; I would not wait.
10/16/20, 5:59 PM - Verna-Thanks for your comment. To expand on crusty - I experienced acidic light lemon curd notes.
9/1/14, 5:24 AM - Thanks for your note. Could be a bad bottle, especially when I see other posts. I had two and both were disappointing. Could have also been a transportation issue.
8/26/14, 6:34 PM - I think I opened it too soon, especially when I look at the drinking window. But, with very little fruit I am worried about its future.
7/30/14, 3:28 AM - I had a 2 hour decant.
3/24/14, 5:41 AM - This has 12 alc. Great buy for $80 (all in) on WineBid. Have 11 more and will be patient, expecting it to improve over the next 15 years.
12/9/13, 6:14 AM - Hard to say. I am a relative newby with the CA Pinots. My prime focus is with those of Bordeaux. With that in mind, I'm inclined to say it needs more time because of its tannic backdrop. What are your thoughts?
8/26/13, 5:23 PM - I am always hopeful. What are the characteristics that form your doubts?
8/26/13, 10:58 AM - It is improving and developing, but not as young as a 2005 Cap de Fagerers from Cotes de Castillion, which I had next to it and was much more green tannic.
7/4/13, 5:35 PM - I think it shows signs of early maturity with nice tannic integration.
5/22/13, 7:38 AM - I'm hoping it will improve. The nose is classic rubber. There is a tart and rather dry streak in the finish although the soft blackberry does come through.
5/6/13, 7:05 PM - 2-3 hr decant.
2/1/13, 4:29 AM - Yes, a true old world style. I have 12 more on Jamie's wish list. By the way, you own some outstanding Pinot Noirs.
