March 1, 2024 - (Aus der 0.375 dl Flasche verkostet, 13.5% Alkohol) Mittlers Rubinrot, orangefarbene Ränder. Die Nase ist direkt nach dem Öffnen da, zeigt reife Erdbeeren, schwarze Johannisbeere und Rauch, warm in der Frucht, kühl im Ausdruck. Der Gaumen ist auf den Peak gereift, noch immer druckvoll, mit delikater Frucht, weitgehend abgeschmolzenen Tanninen und einem mittellangen Finale ist das ein Wein, der aktuell höchsten Trinkspass bietet. Jetzt bis 2030 geniessen.

December 23, 2023 - The 05 Rolan de By Médoc Cru Bourgeois, punching upward tonight. With prime NY strip, on the grill. This wine is a contender; stony, rich, balanced. Lots of drive. Yummy, young, complete.

December 17, 2023 - A bottle purchased at retail at a very low price to fill out a mixed case. Cork soaked 3mm. Fill well into the neck. Not over the hill per se and very alive but thin and just older—not better. Decaying leaves and thin, aged red fruits with slightly granular tannins. 13.5% ABV (good/**/14/86)

December 10, 2023 - A very good, well made wine! Decanted 12 hours and it really opened up into something delightful. Plenty of life left from this excellent vintage. Fantastic value at $29.
