Starts off with a nice nose of licorice , smoked meats and a touch of violets. In the mouth the fruit is still there but starting to thin out. Dark ripe berries with a touch of menthol. Mid to finish it tightens up and is juicy but tart. Probably just past it's peak. Drink ASAP.

I thought it held up very nicely..16 years. Very smooth but not limp. Color very good. Still had lots of texture and body in the mouth holding up beautifully with braised shortribs. Made the point of why you should have a cellar :)

Good wine. Fruit starting to recede somewhat. Still tannic though, not soft. Needs at least an hour of decanting.

This was impressive. A wonderful wine. Stood up beautifully to roasted lamb. Bold spicy and balanced. A pleasure to drink such a wonderful malbec that's not from Argentina.

Very nice. Preferred this to the Southing, both 2006. Decanted for 45 minutes. Had this with turkey for Canadian Thanksgiving. Compared "Southing" to "TEN". Bird was roasted with sea salt, rosemary & sage dry rub. The TEN had more of a "french burgundy" balance. Wonderful. Still robust with good body and fruit. The Southing was also very good but had more sweetness and was more of a CA styled pinot. Overall preferred the TEN but both very good. Bottle age required I think. Both could be cellared for another 5 to 7 years.

Beautiful wine. Balance between fruit and tannins was exceptional - borderline delicious - confirmed by guests. I wish I had another case of this. Cassis/licorice, cherry but not over the top. Bottle age has definitely improved it/
