Outstanding! Used the Coravin thinking wouldn’t drink all tonight
.Didn’t even let it rest. 😂Smooth and long finish.

Just found this rogue bottle. Unbelievably, still drinking well! Don’t know how much more life it has in it but it’s still drinking well.

Oh yum! Drinking beautifully. Glad didn’t wait any longer, don’t know how much longer it’d hold. Full bodied, great nose and very smooth. Ginny

Was put off by color of wine when pouring - medium body and brownish color BUT surprisingly really enjoyed! Question being able to cellar it as CT dates indicate.

Agree with other ratings. It's decent but nothing more. Enjoyable for weekday wine.

Unbelievably still drinking well! The cork was a bit questionable and a bit of green mold on it 😬; but took the plunge and drank it instead of a Sancerre with foie gras over waffles with a strawberry reduction, drizzled with aged balsamic. Happy camper. If get sick, will know it was the wine with the funky cork! Ginny

Unbelievable. Found this rogue bottle in our cellar. Supposed to be waaay past its prime - it was fabulous. Prime consumption probably 3 years ago, but holding its own. Inky dark . No sign of being flawed.

Had forgotten to record and just found. Popped and poured - intense, gorgeous, blue-black color no oxidation; has complex taste. Still delicious but unfortunately think it's past its prime.

Not as floral as the style of the other Eric Kent pinots which is what we love, but still very good. Surprised that this was $10+ more than most of the other Pinots and that we like the others better....

Really enjlyed, especially for the QPR. Super glad have 2 more. Went very well with crispy halibut tonight but would have been good on its own!

Whoaa! Did not expect to be quite like this. Super dark, inky in color. great bouquet, long finish. In all fairness, tasted right after opening and felt it needed to open up some, then soon thereafter had with an Indian dinner which don't think was an ideal pairing, but the wine sure held up to all the spices!

Agree with other review where the person mentions that it drinks well with food. Had on its own and would have scored it lower, but paired well with food. Very different style than the Cali Cabs we are used to drinking.

Not over the hill but also not at the pinnacle.... Did not discern the black pepper, etc. others wrote about (yes some cherry) but that was a few years back. It was quite smooth, would not have guessed it as a Zin. Will report back if it improves with aeration by tomorrow - after a couple of hours it is still more like an 88/89 rating and not worth the $40+ price point for us.
The wine looks garnet colored.

Tons of dark cherrcassis on first sip. More of a full bodied Pinot, not a delicate, floral one. Enjoyed.
The wine looks purple colored. The legs are fast. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like black currant (cassis). The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

Found this bottle not recorded and hiding in our wine cellar - what a great surprise. Still drinking well! Leery since the drinking window was til 2016. Not at its prime but still holding its own with beautiful deep burgundy color and much to offer - coffee and ripe berries predominated. Could have mistaken it for a zin.

Pleasantly surprised, drinking well. Had not loved 2 years ago and had given it an 86 rating, but tonight found it more complex and nice nose. Don't think it will cellar more than another year or so....

Delicious example of a Primitivo. Beautiful deep garnet color and smooth rather than too tannic as some have been. Great value for price point; paid around $19. Would definitely buy again.

Opened this with baited breath since we thought it had been consumed long ago. Pleasant surprise - it was still good! All nice Syrah characteristics - still great deep garnet color, med to full bodied, mellowed out with deep berry and choc notes; BUT, if you have a bottle-drink right away! It is at the end of it's life; had just a touch of cough syrupy-sherriedness quality on the finish. Fully enjoyed and considered myself lucky:) Note - gave an 89 where we had rated it a 91 in 2013.

Still perfect. Was leery after a couple of the last comments from last year and feared that it was at its end. I could not discern any changes in it and it was lovely. Great terroir. I would not hold on to it much longer since I think we are pushing the envelope, but wish all others to have same experience as tonight's wine was for us. VVL

Delicious. I don't give high ratings easily, but this one is right up there. My husband made most of the comments we had for our wines here on Cellar Tracker. This Scarecrow, was incredibly smooth, full bodied and complex; wish I could remember more of what I felt at the moment. My husband just passed away and I broke this out and had at a luncheon we had for him at his favorite local restaurant to celebrate his life right after services. I did not want to keep waiting to have it. He would have totally approved. Here is to you Honey!

Pleasantly surprised. Beautiful color being poured from the bottle, did not aerate nor let sit - has a coffee/chocolatey flavor and quite smooth. Not a terribly long finish, but for the price very pleased. Good QPR.
