August 31, 2023 - Not my favorite vintage of CC but very good. Ripe black fruit, with a hint of tar and earth.

January 11, 2023 - From a magnum (no. 54 of 100). One-hour decant through a screened and aerating funnel. Blackberry aroma burst forth during the decant attracting the attention of other diners in the restaurant. Wine very deep ruby, perfectly clear. After resting, nose was wonderful: black currant, wild flowers and vanilla. Luscious deep fruit. Tannins all integrated; silky texture. Long lazy finish hinting at bamboo. Wow.

May 22, 2021 - Really enjoyable. Great mix of red cabernet fruit with depth. Touches of tar and spices. Lingering finish.

April 1, 2021 - Like before, the room filled with dark berry fruit aromatics as soon the cork was pulled. This was dark garnet colored, rich, full, concentrated, but nicely integrated and elegant black berry and black currant fruits with accents of cassis, mocha, floral and notes of spicy oak and hints of black cherry on a lingering fine-grained silky tannin finish.

A Fathers Day Wine Tasting, Episode #692, 6/19/2009 (link) 92+ points(Clark-Claudon Cabernet Sauvignon) #1; COLOR-dark; NOSE-really interesting grape juice smell (like purple paint); a little musty cave-like aspect on the back-end; PALATE-I like this wine; massively balanced; this is really good; cranberries on the back-end; great firm tannins; great polish; great focus; acts like a Bordeaux, but has the California sunshine fruit; back-end has dark chocolate flavor mixed w/ that red cranberry; this is a fantastic wine; I love the balance; SV-95/96; GV-92+
