Realising the price for this bottle five folded expectations were high. Well they did not disappoint. The concentration, purity , minerality and depth were stunning. just impressive.

Not much sparkel left, but instead the herbal, delicate, mineral aromas of very old Huet and a rich mouthfeel of this Sec style. What a treat

Deep golden colour, but not the oxidation that would be expected. Instead great freshness and acidity. Oak aromas, lime, honey melon and classic Viura hazelnut aromas. A Reserva - the 1986 was released as Gran Reserva and made 100 RPs.

Classic, classy Lopez de Heredia. More suble (more Burgundian? as the bottle would suggest) and more cherry, sous bois than the Tondonia. At a lovely stage of evolution. Ethereal and light footed, yet so yummy.
