This was gone well over but had a touch of class. We drank a little over half and left it there

Drinkable and still shows some class. I simply left it too long. I won't rate it as this was a very nice wine and should not be marked down

Opened a month ago and it had turned close to orange and was gone. I will call it defective but I waited way too long. I'll open the 2010 soon

Deep garnett in the glass... A little age but there is plenty of life in this one.

On the nose there are red fruits upfront with a little plum and cocoa coming through with some herbaciousness.

Not a blockbuster. It has balanced tannins initially, then cherry and long vanilla finish. 91.5 and with the glass half full I'll stretch to 92.

Deep red in the glass, some sign of age a very small hint of brown inside the edge.

Very strong when smelling the through the bottle neck. The aromas opened up in the glass. Tart and slightly cooked cherry, spice and perhaps liquorice, roast coffee.

Tasted well, a lot of mouth drying but silky tannins initially... A very, very long finish with cooked fruit, then a slightly alcoholic heat turning to leather, this gave way to a fizzy and light vanilla and watermelon sweetness towards the back of the tongue and even throat. It goes on for a long time.

I opened the complex wine 90 mins before drinking. We drank it over 3 to 3.5 half hours. It opened up a little more but it was mostly there after 90 minutes opening.

Its still in good nick but I'm glad I didn't leave it longer. I'd love to have had one to compare it too a couple of years back to see if there'd be less of the cooked fruit taste.

Very nice... 92.5 would be fair but it has an unusually long finish so I think it's a 93. I get the feeling it might have been 93 to 93.5 a couple of years back. Glad I bought it some time ago. They go for crazy money these days.

Absolutely lovely. Very mellow but I was amazed how much fruit it still had for a 21+ year old wine

Last of a batch of 6 plus a couple of bottles when it was first released. i enjoyed as its aged over time. my first impression was that its definitely near the very end but having let it open out im a little less certain. dark colour and viscous in the glass. nose of stewed fruit, burnt wood and a touch of cherry. It still gives an initial short burst of fruit/dried fruit, a little herbaciousness and leather upfront. that fades v quickly with leather and a drying becoming apparent, then slowly evolving into tobacco towards the back of the tongue. Its definitely aging but once it opens a little its still interesting. giving it 89 but was going to b lower until i let it open for a little while

good mix of traditional and modern although leaning toward traditional. possibly too heavy on the alcohol. nice fruit and oak on the nose.
