Very primary. Warm nose with earth and sour cherries. Powerful and rich, with great fruit and a long finish with fine structure. Not that complex at this stage, but fine to drink if you like young wines. Completely different from 2016, which was a lot more mature at this point of its evolution. 93+

First apricot on the nose, later the most delicious pear. Rich and concentrated, but keeps the balance. More power than last summer and a fine finish with minerality, citrus and tannins. These white neufs are exiting.

Changing nose first with citrus, later apricot and nice sweetness from melon, also fine minerality. Excellent rich fruit, oily, with nice fattness and intensity. Ending in a fine finish with great acidity. Langoureau always makes the cleanest whites. Young, but a joy.

Stunning nose with cherries that immediately jumps out of the glass, later a lot of spices. Intense and medium to full bodied with black cherries, minerals and perhaps darker fruits ending in a long finish. It has some power but the elegance of the cherrie flavors are superb. A charming Charmes and for me a favourite kind of wine.

Delicious village, nose with spices and cherries. Medium palate with quite some power for pinot, but excellent fruit with black cherries and a fine finish with nice tannins. On the young side, but tasty and drinkable. 92 p.

Nose more shy than palate, but first earthy and later black cherries. Wonderful tasty medium to full bodied palate with bitter cherries. Really some punch ending in a long finish, with great sweet fruit. Theres structure but not a lot of tannins.
10/12 of a case, exiting at release, not the same level last year, and exiting today, but seems to have gained some power.

Nose is quite shy compared to the palate, but immediately theres a lot of cabernet flavors like blackcurrants. Amazing purity and richness on the full bodied palate. Also lead pencil and grafite. This is the style of Latour and ending in a long, long incredible finish.

Nice warm nose with spices and red fruit. Theres Rioja all over this, but if you had this blind, you would never guess this is 49 years old. The finish is a little short, with a wave of acidity. Great for celebrating a 49 years birthday.

Nose is quite shy, but theres first a whiff of lemon and some melon. Fresh palate with fine energy and intensity, with a lot of citrus and great acidity in the fine finish. Today not the most complex in terms of flavors, but a Meursault village with some class.

As always this is so tasty. Nice nose with black berries, red fruit and garrique. Rich and intense, but best on the almost brooding finish thats peppery, with a lot of structure and tannins, but also sweet fruit.

Intense blackberry, smoke, olives and spices on the exiting nose. Rich and fleshy palate with plenty of sweet fruit, which last in the pretty long finish, also with fine tannins.
I had this first time blind in a set with Chave 2003 and while not as elegant, it was a close call, but i guess this is different today. Feels mature.

Just fantastic, pop and poured. Fabulous nose with black fruit, licorice, pepper, a metallic note and great sweetness. Normally you wouldnt describe a neuf as elegant, but this feels like that. Rich and sappy with a fine finish with nice structure. Not the longest finish though. Third time i have had this and by far the best showing

Magnum, needs an hour to shine. Broad big delicious nose thats very "black fruited", also with black cherries and spices. Rich and sappy palate, so tasty, ending in a pretty long finish with a nice combination of sweet fruit and dryness. Really lovely, but not the most complex wine i have had.

Exceptional complex changing nose, with citrus, lemon, orange, mint and melon. Palate is rich, fat and fresh, quite buttery, ending in a long finish with sharp acidity.
If it wasnt for the acidity this would be exceptionel and it certainly feels younger than Genevrieres from the same vintage.

Nose with a lot of sweetness probably from the oak, nice spices and red fruit. Midpalate is rich and kind of opulent, before the finish kicks in with too much and dominating acidity. Really a shame, theres a touch of class here, but ruined by the acidity.

Really exciting nose with black cherries, leather and a note of perfume. Pure, nothing sticks out here like all great wines. At times almost like silk, before a medium finish kicks in with nice structure and dryness. Tasted at release where the impression was the same, although it has gained power and structure. Just wished for a little more of everything to be exceptional.

On day one just a lot of sweetness, which makes it kind of boring. On day three pretty tight, but energetic with cherry flavors and nice structure. This is not typical for Campogiovanni, but im not going to open another bottle for a while.

Fruity nose with raspberry jam. Also fruity on the palate with a lot of power, also with cocoa and spice. Lively acidity and quite some tannins that dominates the intense finish. More power than deepth and complexity, but nice.

Nice nose with red berries like cherries and spices. Medium to full bodied, rich and intense, with nice fruit on the palate, then a pretty long intense finish with nebbiolos dryness and tannins. More Barolo typicity than 2017, but 2017 is more up-front fruity.

Intense nose with soy and raisins, quite portlike. Really powerful rich and big but tasty, very savoury but also sweet fruit. A pretty long finish with fine tannins. Modern and not much sangiovese here, so dont expect a lot of elegance, but anyway fun to taste again.

Complex and changing nose but mostly with black cherries, black tea and spices. First a lot of acidity(too much for me), but it comes together after an hour and turns into a fresh, balanced and quite subtle medium bodied wine, with dense sweet cherries to balance the acidity and a pretty long finish. Much better than than some years ago and when you dig into it, theres a touch of class.

Complex and inviting nose with a lot of sweetness, like sweet cherries, sweet pipe tobacco and sweet spices. Medium bodied palate, thats deep, and the essence of elegance. Also with a dark, more masculine note. A fine finish with nice acidity. Very fine, but not at the level with 2002, i had 1-2 years ago.

Delicious nose on the elegant side for Pegau, with garrique and black cherries. Medium to full bodied, opulent and rich and really with some punch. A long peppery and intense finish with chewy tannins. This is fine to drink today.

More red than purple colour. When opened everybody in the room could smell it, but in the glass theres first a lot of spices and later dark fruit and significant power. Plenty of intensity, with nice sweetness and a nice finish with the right amount of tannins. A treat, but not at the level with Dow 2000, we had a week ago.

A rarity from Lafouge, from the top of Duresses, which mostly produces red wines. La Parapelle is from the top of the field, where you cant use machines.
Nose with melon and passionfruit. Fresh, rich and powerful, more so than their Auxeys close to Mersault. Plenty of fruit, also with citrus and a fine finish with acidity and quite some dryness.

Pop and poured, beautifull nose, open, intense and at the same time light on its feet. Perfumed with cherries, licorice and rose petals. Really some punch and power on the palate and a pretty long dry finish, with plenty of fruit. Gets tighter with air and for my palate too young. 92-93+.
On day 2, very closed and not giving much.

Not that expressive nose, but nice cassis. A fresh and juicy medium bodied palate with sweet tobacco and sweet red fruit which is a great combination with the dryness, ending with a medium finish. Really different from 2016, which feels kind of old-school bdx, probably because its young. This is soft compared to 2016. Tasty.

Nice nose with white flowers, lemon and a touch of melon. Fresh, rich and tasty. Quite long finish with some dryness and acidity and more so than a year ago. This feels younger than first time i had this, and its not at the level with Clavoillon and Folatiers, but outstanding in its own right. I would wait a little with this one.

Black cherries and garrique on the nice nose. Really intense and powerfull with a lot of pepper, a lovely touch of kirsch and a pretty long finish. Tasted side by side with Pegau Maclure 2020 and this a class or two better. Terroir seems more important than producer.

Gorgeous nose first earth and a touch of licorice, later deep, dense with roses. Also the midpalate is exiting with cherries, and then the finish kicks in with a lot of structure and dryness, but feels like it needs more fruit in the finish. I have tasted al Giacosas wines mostly young and in tastings, and they are so impressive, but i still havent tasted a mature wine that blows me away.
