Amazing bottle - takes a bit of air at the beginning to take off notes of vanilla. Even in the begging could tell this was a relatively smooth bottle with great red fruits and a hint of animal fat

There is still a ton of power in this wine. Will continue to check in over the years. Had a glass the next time - vacuum sealed but left at room temp - and was still fantastic.

I would buy more - have over a case left - if it was in short supply

This bottle was off - may not have been stored well. Was not what I’d normally expect of Clos des Papes

This was in an interesting place - both bottles seemed to have a bit of seepage underneath the foil. May not have been stored well recently

This was still in a good spot but definitely needed some time to blow off the funk. Still have some of the characteristic Syrah notes of pepper, red fruits, but very limited finish.

This is still going strong - requires a bit of time in a decanter to blow off some barnyard funk

Notes of spice, currant and pepper. Some floral notes as well; mainly violets

This bottle may have been a bad bottle - definitely seemed past it’s prime. Didn’t blow off the typical funk that this wine has. Have a few other bottles that will try soon to find out

Needed a good decant - still has some time left in bottle

Very good wine that showed through in the end with bright red fruit and some light pepper notes due to Syrah in the blend. Very good wine with prime rib on Christmas

This was a good wine but was outshined by the St Emilion and St Joseph drank next to it. It was lacking a bit of oomph which was surprising for Delas. Still a good wine with some classic feminine Syrah notes

Very classic pepper notes at the end; a very strong strong showing. Some good, tart red fruit once it warmed up in the glass. Didn’t need a ton of time to decant

Almost Burgundian off the top - settled down with a bit of air which tells me this has a bit more time. Amazing wine.

Very good, very smooth. Takes some air to get to the fruit. Tannins aren’t fully integrated yet - would give this another 2-3 years of good storage before opening. Will buy more though

Still very good wine; decanted - opened up relatively quickly. Flavors did evolve with air indicating this has more time

Decanted for about 2-3 hours; was totally unnecessary

This wineikely only needed a splash of air - was very tertiary once we got to it. Could still get a hint of red fruit underneath it all. Will definitely try again with less time in decanter

Great wine - decanted; really hit it’s stride two hours in to the evening. Went well with two rib-eyes

Amazing wine - needed air but evolves into a wonderful bouquet of red berries and black berries

Still has more time if stored well

Definitely one for the experience of an old wine; was on its tertiary points - heavy note of cough syrup

Still going very strong; was good in the glass 4hrs after opening. Have 3 bottles left and don’t feel rushed to drink it but also wouldn’t necessarily buy more

Moving to secondary notes but still has some good fruit / freshness for the first hour or so.

Getting better but absolutely needs more time - at least 5 years

Still so powerful

Little bit of funk on the front that needs to blow off - after a few hours, this is in a fairly decent spot. I wouldn’t expect it to get much better

This is still incredibly primary - it will need at least three years of cellar time to integrate

This will be a very good wine with time

Based on a group rating - this needs a bit of air to blow off the funk; this is a very good wine that is likely in its prime or on the back end

This was a lot of secondary flavors with a melange of dark fruit and some barnyard to it. Still very good

Decanted - fair amount of sediment strained our - this still has another 5 years to go in the bottle

Drank over a few hours and barely started to mellow out at the end. Fantastic wine. Still has good black fruit flavor and can evolve and integrate more

Very good bottle - likely won’t improve significantly with age but definitely not on last legs

Well integrated and smooth - still has good berth fruit with a decent finish. Not extremely long but definitely an enjoyable bottle

Have about a case left otherwise would buy more

Drank over 3 nights - partially eating for what it will become in 15-20 years

Very primary with a lot of power and tannins; still going strong on 3rd night even with decanting for a few hours each night. Will be a fantastic wine

This wine didn’t seem to be all it was hyped up to be - may have also been a bottle condition issue as there was a lot of heavy sediment in the bottom. Felt like there could have been something excellent there but seemed to just fall short of (admittedly high) expectations

Coravin - great notes of dark, wet red fruit. Tons of acidity but it is not overpowering - truly an incredible wine that you can tell will last for 20-30years. Will drink this bottle for New Year’s Eve celebration
