At first sip I wasn’t sure about this wine; initially it seemed a tad sweet. But as it opened up in the glass I decided I liked it. Went very nicely with takeout Chinese food. Well rounded, medium acidity, slightly rich and good stone fruit.

Leftover from my wife's book club. I was curious about the blend of malbec and merlot. Dark red, lots of fruit and pretty tasty if not terribly complex. From other users it looks like this goes for less than $10, and at that price it's a nice weeknight quaff.

Everyone really enjoyed this wine with baked salmon. Crisp Chablis style Chard. Exceptional value at <$10 from Garagiste. Definitely would buy again.

A little funky when first opened but that dissipated after a while, with a surprising amount of fruit behind it given its age. Dark red, browning a bit. A classic mature Bordeaux, very enjoyable.

Bright and light in color and flavor. Nice fruit and just enough acid to be well balanced. Not at all what I think of as a Turley wine but very enjoyable. Will buy again although it would be even more attractive if it were a few dollars less.

A year and a half ago I found this to be sweet to the point of being almost cloying. For whatever reason, be it a little more time in the bottle or variance between bottles, this time it was more enjoyable. Very fruit forward and maybe still a tad on the sweet side, but quite drinkable and pleasant with chicken cacciatore.

Well aged classic Bordeaux. Very smooth with fully mellowed tannins. Not much fruit left and starting to turn brown. Probably would have been great a couple of years ago.Another lesson not to hold most bottles this long.

A bit disappointing. Started out tasting like a decent full bodied Bordeaux but ended with a rather odd almost vegetal flavor.

Our group really enjoyed this with smoked brisket. Very dark and opaque, rich jammy fruit. One taster thought it a bit sweet at first taste but then improved. Ready to drink.

This held up very well, although probably won't get any better. Oddly a bit sweet at first but improved after a few minutes in the glass. Rich, dark fruit, very drinkable, long finish.

A really unique and interesting wine made of 100% Jacquere. Intensely floral on the nose and palate with an underlying minerality. Paired nicely with pasta primavera. I would like to try with raclette or fondue (which is why I think I bought it). Excellent value at less than $10 from Garagiste. Will buy again .

Some reviewers really didn’t like this wine, but I found it to be a very drinkable everyday Bordeaux at a great price. No, it’s not super complex and I wouldn’t plan on cellaring for a long time, but I will gladly pull the cork on a Tuesday night. Better with food .

Lots of dark fruit. Certainly okay for the price. I can’t say exactly what’s wrong but somehow it was a bit disappointing. Too young ? Too old ? I have one more bottle and will wait a while to try again.

Very good value. Apple flavors, both crisp and creamy. Probably unfairly suffered in comparison to the Michel Genet Champagne which we drank just before.

Delicious before and with Thanksgiving dinner. Just the right amount of yeasty bread. Not as austere as might be expected from zero dosage.

Retained substantial fruitiness despite its age. Classic white Burgundy. Rich and creamy, some citrus. Starting to oxidize just a bit. Not bad, but definitely time to drink; probably would have been even better a year or two ago.

I’ve never had this particular vineyard before; glad I tried it. Delicious classic Zin, good red and black fruit, spice, relaxed tannins, no heat despite 15.3% ABV. Paired beautifully with grilled pork chops with blueberry jalapeño sauce. Have been on a roll with 2012 Turleys lately after mixed results with slightly older ones.

A delicious classic Turley zin that held up well. Lots of dark fruit -cherry, blackberry. Age has smoothed any rough edges; not hot despite the 15.7% ABV.

For some reason this bottle was a bit better than the previous one. A little more fruit and fragrance. Maybe because it was 100 degrees on the first day of summer and the wine was cold and crisp?
Still fairly simple but for <$8…

First thing noticed when opening the bottle was a strong vegetal or herbaceous nose. Subsided in the glass. Still red with no apparent browning. Still has a lot of dark fruit on the palate; mellow tannins. Seemed a bit thin. Starting to go downhill so drink up now ..

A delicious classic zin, dark fruits, earthy and spicy. Balanced with soft tannins. Not hot despite 15.8 % ABV. One of the lower priced Turley zins, so an excellent value. Despite being past the drinking window this bottle seemed in its prime.

Probably a year or two past its prime, but still very drinkable. Tannins fully resolved, still red in color. Not much on the nose but fairly flavorful with ripe fruit. Unlike other reviewers I did not find it overly alcoholic.
The Dusi held up better than a 2009 Duarte we drank at the same time, which was thin and showing a brown rim, although it opened up a bit in the glass.

Turley’s lowest priced Zin but generally overdelivers, and the 2017 is no exception. Fruit forward, smooth with nice finish. I don’t know the ABV but not the least bit hot or overly alcoholic as some Zins can be. In the middle of its drinking window. Tasty !

Can’t really rate on its own as we used it to make French 75’s, but it worked well for that purpose.

We enjoyed this on Christmas Eve as a perfect accompaniment to raclette. Crisp and bright, it was a good foil to the richness of the cheese. Good value.
