From Coravin. Pretty and jubey blue and black berry fruits, slight savoury underpin, a little almost sweet spice despite no oak. Juicy, fleshy, a little textured burr but, for this first time, this is showing the tiniest bit of volatility to accompany the brambly fruit. I will need to drink rapidly and monitor.

From Coravin. Peach, mango, a little citrus, polished oak, butter, a little struck match. Tangy rather than juicy; a little soft in fact, fruit slightly muted, touch of struck match, touch of butter. Okay.

I must confess this was a little disappointing - I was expecting ripe but controlled dark fruits, sweet spice, a little vanilla and oak in support. I got sharp(ly adjusted) acidity married to baked and slightly burnt black fruits, red and black liquorice. Chewy tannins and coarse and cumbersome. Disjointed and upsetting.

With agitation fresh blackcurrant backed by a little plum, touch of farmyard. Juicy, savoury, plentiful drying tannins are relatively silky textured, fruit in the background, needs protein to play nice. Woof.
