Dark blood red appearance. Nose has dark and red berries, black cherry, candy floss, minerality and floral notes at the end. Not overly expressive bouquet. Full body with dominatingly heavy tannins and medium acidity. Dark fruit with a noticeably bitter finish. Too young. Wanted to like this more.

Light brick. Musk, wild mushrooms, cedar, damp wood and leather on the nose. A mellow earthy woody mushroomy pineapple palate. Light to medium body with little tannins and medium acidity. Clearly past its prime but still interesting.

Kind of an interesting over the hill wine. Light brick colour. Nose had a rotten smell reminiscent of ripe papaya or moldy pineapple. Palate had not too much going on. Light to medium finish with mushroom and forest floor flavours. Clearly past its drinking window but still fun.

I think Luca Macaroni gives out too many 99s. Bottle was solid. Hold for a few years and see how it goes. Dark fruit on the nose esp. blackberry. Palate was much of the same. Medium to full finish. Medium acidity.

Strong palate of leather, tobacco cigars, slight raisin, and dark earth. Minimal fruit. Dark, brooding and earthy. May need more time. Re-visit in 3-5 years or more.

Solid drinking wine from Stratus Vineyards. Bright ruby with red berries, strawberries and tinge of oak on the nose. Light to medium finish being closer to medium.

Garnet colour. Rich odour of black cherry, mushrooms, oak, tobacco, caramel and, later on, ripe bananas. Dark fruit, slight raisin, fig, black cherry, tobacco and vanilla on the palate. Full body. Smooth texture and very long finish with medium acidity. Drank over five days with vacuvin. First three days held really well. Day 5 was noticeably softer than previous days but still drank fine. Amazing value.
