Citrus, minerals, and modest oak. Refreshing. Maybe a little tight still but very nice. Will try again in a year or so.

Very good and unfortunately my last bottle. Juicy fruits and black cherry, leather, earth. Plenty of years left. Good acidity. I enjoyed this one.

Wonderful wine. While the bouquet showed dark berries and leather, the complex palate surprised me with red fruits and a long racy finish. Looking forward to tasting this wine down the road to see how it develops. Really enjoyable.

This still has puckering tannins and many years of life yet. Dark berries, leather, lead pencil with a satisfying finish. A delicious Montrose.

A delicious Napa Cabernet blend. Black fruits, cedar, chocolate. Full bodied and teeth staining. Long finish. Approachable now but this has many years ahead of it.

2 hour decant. Red and dark berries. Lots of acidity. Spicy finish. Just at the very beginning of its drinking window. I would certainly wait awhile on this one.

Nice bouquet. Lots of fruit comes through. A rounded palate with dark berries and a medium long finish. I would give this another 2 years before trying again. Much better than the 2005 Fontenil I drank recently. Good value.

I agree with a previous comment. Funky barnyard, cranberry and cherry. Spicy finish. Delicate as would be expected. Pleasant and enjoyable but maybe not my favourite vintage of this wine.

A refined Napa Cab and also still quite restrained. Plenty of dark fruits and a tannic finish in this nicely balanced wine. Give this some time and then enjoy.

I was impatient and wanted to try a bottle before cellaring the rest. I gave this a 3 hour decant. Garrigue, raspberry, cherry cough drop, and a spicy finish. Well balanced and no hard edges. A bit closed right now but I think this will come together nicely in another 5 years.

Still quite tannic on the finish. Though a soft upfront mouthfeel. Crushed berries and a juicy mid palate. Modest acidity. Went well with rack of lamb. Two more years to integrate and then will try again. This wine is good value.

A bit of a gimmicky bottle (gift wine?). So I gifted it to myself. A blend of Zinfandel, Barbera and other grapes. Maybe not one for the cellar but the good ratings were deserved. Velvety texture, mouth filling, with a very long finish. Black cherry, leather, olive, licorice. Quite interesting and paired nicely with some barbecued ribs.

Well worth buying, especially at this price point. Well balanced. Black raspberry, herbs, and a spicy finish. Just a touch of heat on the finish from the 15.5% alcohol. Quite delicious. Drinking well now with a decent decant but I'm sure this will evolve nicely over the years. Complemented a cast iron seared duck breast well.

I suspected I was popping the cork a bit early but I have a few more bottles to try later. Quite tannic on the finish suggesting another 3-4 years plus would be beneficial. Dark berries on the bouquet that also comes across on the palate. Beautiful balance. Great value. Looking forward to tasting this again down the road.

Characteristic pronounced oak, plenty of acidity, plum, cedar, full bodied with a long finish. Certainly drinkable now with a good decant but ideally I would give this a few more years yet. Always a producer worth buying in my opinion.
