I’m a fan of Puygeraud. I buy it in all different formats.
This was a 2014 Imperial. The cork disintegrated so I had to decant through a muslin.
We got through 5 bottles on first night and I am now finishing my last glass on night three. I think it has got better and better.

Fantastic Meursault from a great producer.
Refined not heavy. White flowers lemon zest. Beautiful with poached salmon.
Bouchard rarely disappoint

I drank this alongside the 2008 which apparently is made in the “old style” according to the producer from whom I bought the wine. Enjoyed the 2007 which is similar to the 2005 I bought a couple of years back. The 2008 is completely different, I would say sherry like. I almost thought it should not be like this but it is the third bottle I have had and they are all the same. Maybe this is what Chablis was like back in the day. I could only imagine drinking it with food but I don’t know what. I won’t be buying this again though I like the 07 and 05. Their aged GC’s are very similar with a sherry like characteristic.

Stood up well next to a 2012 Solaia which was admittedly more complex but this was just as enjoyable

Good Volnay for the price. Though I did buy it from a merchant in Beaune

Bought 12 of these on release. I drank 6 whilst pretty young and decided to keep the rest for around 5 years. The wait has paid off. I reckon you could wait another 5 years and this would still be showing well. Far more complex than I remember.

I’ve just uncorked and poured this straight from the bottle. It’s probably a little cold at the moment and I’m looking forward to seeing how it plays out over the next hour or so. At the moment it’s buttery and I’m getting some fennel and citrus. I’ve just checked on the Chablis map and I see Montmains is on the left (west) side of the valley which figures as my favourite PC Chablis is Côte de Lechet. I find the wines on this side of the river are more like a white burgundy. On the other side of the valley my preferred PC is Fourchaume. I’ve got a 2007 Côte de Lechet from Etienne Defaix in the fridge but I think it needs food at that age. The Brocard is just about perfect as an aperitif.
This is a very nice bottle of wine

Bought directly from their shop in Chablis a couple of days ago. I agree that I may be drinking this a few years too soon but nevertheless very enjoyable. I really rate these wines from the other side of the valley to the GCs.
Pear drops, honey, jasmine….all rather nice

Threw much more sediment than I expected.
Day one quite restrained with a bitter after taste.
Day two opened out with liquorice and toffee notes and a mellow finish. I think this will keep for another 5 or more years. I still have a few and will keep a couple for tge long term to see how it develops

Drinking well now but will last another 20 years.
You really need to decant this through a muslin cloth which regrettably I failed to do.

Not much fruit here but saddle leather a hint of fig and burnt molasses. I am running out of 2015’s but have plenty of 2016 and 18. I’ve said it before but you can’t fault this at the price point.

Opened for a glass and then sealed for 4 nights.
It was definitely better for the wait but was probably a day, even 2 over when I finished it even though the bottle was 3/4 full when re corked with vacuvin.
Good value but probably needs a 2 hour decant minimum

The plan was to drink this alongside a Chateau Pichon 1996 which was unfortunately corked. The Sassicaia was sublime though. Ready to drink now but I will keep the others for a year or two.

Decanted for 3 hours. Very pleasant. It isn’t complex but nice fruit aromas, and really can’t find fault at this price point. Preferred it to the 2010 Cantermerle I finished off the night before. Some clarets are made to drink young. This is one.

Drank over 3 nights, the majority on night 3. Used a vacuvin. Pretty closed and tannic nights 1&2 but opened up night 3 and started to get some berry fruit and cedar. Nothing special to be honest, and not convinced it will improve that much with age.

Really enjoying this. Not mineral but straw and then honey. Nice buttery mouth feel. I think I prefer the wines on the west side of the valley and therefore facing east. I was given this by the Brocard shop in Chablis as a complimentary bottle as I’d bought a couple of mixed cases of the GC PC and Chablis. Next time I will buy a case of this. Delicious

I just can’t find fault with this for the price.
Decanted an hour before lunch...Smokey with red berry fruit. The half bottle is perfect with Sunday lunch if you don’t want to wake up with a head on Monday. But maybe I shouldn’t have drunk that Albariño first

Opened a magnum on Saturday evening and finished it with Sunday lunch. Infinitely better on day two and was sealed overnight with vacuum stopper. Earth...plums. So it’s not a top claret, but it is very drinkable. Bought this en primeur, so you can’t argue with the value for money this offers at sub £15 per standard bottle.
