Fabulous wine. Someone at the table described this 21-year old wine as jammy! I almost agree - still lots of fruit, great balance and structure. Talk about aging gracefully...

This was a real treat. P&P - very unique, intense funky aromas that quickly blew off. Inky dark purple. Variety of aromas, deep berry fruit and lots of oak. Rich, mouth coating, tannic but pleasurable. long finish. Wish I had bought more.

A beautiful rose petal color. Smooth aromas and flavors of cherries and berry fruit.
This sumptuous merlot is delicate yet firm, like the hands of the strong, determined, and passionate woman who worked so hard to create it.
As I drink it, I sense the Peace that permeates her vineyard.

Pop/pour. Youthful garnet appearance, no bricking.
Aromas of an old wine cellar, morbier cheese, oak, leather, figs.
A mature yet still youthful palate, with harmonious balance of dark berry fruit, earth, soil, and integrated tannins.
Lingering, pleasant finish.
A very traditional left bank style from a great vintage, this will improve for years to come.

Insane that a wine this old can still be this good - even from large format. Youthful in appearance, beautiful mature cab aromas, still full on the mouth with a little fruit left. Simply a delight.
I am proud to have shared this with many friends to celebrate my brother's 50th birthday

tasted blind. upon reveal I was shocked this didn't perform better.
lots and lots of funk. full and firm, but just not as much to enjoy and savor as I would have imagined. Decent structure. Maybe just closed right now, or needs more time - it was not decanted.

In a great place right now. the nose blew me away, so to speak: aromas of tar, cedar wood, leather, charcoal smoke, and tobacco. Mouthfilling fruit, great structure, integrated tannins. WOTN, tasted blind amongst several other great wines.

This put on quite a show. Decanted but drank soon thereafter.
Young appearing, garnet, hint of bricking.
Constantly changing aromas in the glass as well as on the palate.
Strong aromas of raw meat and dust initially, but gradually gave way to fruit and earth.
Hits everywhere on the palate with a combination of fresh and dried dark fruit, dirt, dried leaves, cigar box, musty smoke, on and on.
Long vibrant finish. Spectacular.

Drinking perfectly. Decanted 4 hours, consumed with med-rare ribeye and filet. Amazingly youthful appearance, garnet with barely any bricking. Complex, beautiful aromas of cigar box, forest floor, berry fruit and funk. Mouth-coating tannins, rich dark fruit in perfect balance with a dried leaf and herbal component. Beautiful.

wonderful pinot. Extremely smooth, lush and velvety wine. Fantastic spread and balance of flavors from caramel to light red berry fruit to dried leaves. Very impressive.
Second day open had faded substantially.

beautiful color in the glass
fantastic bouquet of almonds, toast, butter, yeast
wonderful in the mouth with the same flavors; the slightest bit tart on the finish.
Perhaps this was slightly oxidized, otherwise fantastic.

P&P. beautiful color in the glass. Nose is pure Willamette Valley pinot - lucious cherry fruit and berries, a hint of earthiness. Mouth is pure silk with soft tannins, plenty of fruit and great structure. Very nice.

The entire group enjoyed this a lot. Everyone agreed that if tasted blind we would swear this is a pinot noir. Very soft, feminine style with lots of pinot fruitiness and flavor. Amazing!

P&P. inky dark, no aging evident.
Nose dark fruit, berries, charcoal, tobacco, cassis
Mouth - HUGE but supple tannins. dried fruit.
Long finish. This is really good and will go several more years.

I would basically say the same as my note from 6/2012, with the exception that this was consumed over several hours, during which the nose was changing constantly. What a pleasure to drink. Highly recommend.
