Community Tasting Notes 5

July 12, 2013 - pale scarlet colored. Light aromas. light tart strawberry flavors. A light lunch wine at best. The majority of the bottle went into a coq au vin. not really recommended

February 16, 2013 - Pretty red fruit and sharp acidity, still young but very pleasant

June 21, 2012 - Dense and stinging ruby red colour. Not too dark. Very juvenile nose! A bit stinky (barn), very fresh and tart dark cherries, some freshly cut grass (!), plenty of elegant smokiness. The taste full of young and pristine life. A lot of dark tart cherry flavours, some forest berries, even some earthiness and A LOT of acid (but a approriate one). A robust, not too thin and characterful Bourgogne Rouge! I'd assume still a bit too young.

June 10, 2012 - Saturday morning pinot: pale scarlet, almost watermelon colored, somewhat light red berry fruit, and rather tart. A bit plain but adequate for a nice light luncheon wine. ***

March 5, 2012 - 12.5% alcohol. Light red cherry color. Pretty nose of sour cherry and light spice. In the mouth, slightly tart fruit is wrapped in minerals. A nice cherry stone note gives the acidic backbone a nice fruit quality. Good value here. This is a very drinkable wine -- though on the sharper side, so acid freaks take note -- that goes great with food. A-
