Less wooly and oxidized than I was expecting, but it still had the classic Savennières nose of apples, melon, hay, and honey. Good concentration to the well-mannered and slightly tart apple flavors.

November 1, 1998 - Elegant but nervy wine. Minerals and citrus and excellent palate cleansing acidity. A hint of nuttiness. Wonderfull apertif wine.
