  December 24, 2022 - A big and bold wine, that has plenty of life left, another 10 years shouldn’t be a problem. Deep ruby in color, medium+ intensity on the nose with blackberry, figs, stewed fruit, kirsch, tobacco, licorice, green bell pepper notes, eucalyptus. Medium acidity, very long finish
  
  This is not my type of wine (big & bold, almost Parkeresque), but is very well made and very good. 92-93

  August 27, 2021 - Utregs Wijnhuis Wijnproeverij Exclusief (Utregs Wijnhuis): [Blind tasted] Spicy, cherry, blue berry, pipe tobacco, ceder.
  Has almost a sweet (primitivo-like) note to it
  Medium acidity, long finish, finely grained tannins

  November 1, 2020 - Quick decant just before leaving to public square restaurant. Nose was beautiful with a combination of fruit and a hint of cigar box. Mouth coating with a long finish. In a very good spot now. Not sure it would improve more but no rush. El Nido benefits tremendously from cellaring.

  July 29, 2020 - Brought to Fiamme and the pairing with Detroit stlyle pizza was just perfect. This bottle was much more subtle then other El Nido's in the past and certainly more subtle then its little brother Clio. This was elegant, complex and absolutely delicious. No detailed notes this time.
