November 16, 2022 - What a beautiful wine, original and different.

July 20, 2019 - Appearance has turned a dull, deep ruby. Mature and complex, pronounced aromas and flavors: chocolate covered cherries, stewed plums, dried raspberries, leather, sweet pipe tobacco, and dried brushy earth. Elegant, smooth and balanced mouthfeel; structure has long since integrated. Long finish, paired perfectly with a grilled ribeye. Probably won’t improve with further cellaring and should drink well for another 1-2 years.

November 15, 2016 - Decanted initially, and then enjoyed over three nights with hearty food. Still big, showing all black fruits, along with structure and acidity to support 3-4 years of further cellaring. Rich, bold, concentrated, complex, and classy. Showing no signs of letting up based on my earlier note almost three years ago. Excellent!

June 29, 2016 - Agree that this is starting to come around. Better on day two where it was ripe, balanced prototypical new world can with a little leafiness and pure cassis fruit without overoaked was or overextension though it tinkers with both and thankfully comes up just short. This is another in a recent series of Washington wines I have actually enjoyed and not thought to be gloppy messes.

October 13, 2015 - Wow, this seems to firing on all cylinders right now. Tons of fruit but not jammy, reserved oak, dark and smooth with mouth coating feel. Really liked this, glad I have a few more. Still going strong on day 2.
