February 1, 2012 - Elegant Alsace Gewürztraminer, the standard cuvée of the ‘Cave de Pfaffenheim’. Beautiful lemon yellow color and a fruity, fragrant bouquet displaying scents of ripe pears, honey, marzipan, orange zest and sweet herbs. The viscous, medium to full-bodied palate is rather sweet (making it difficult to pair with meals), but it is well-balanced and has a nice, slightly spicy aftertaste. Good aperitif wine. Drink it now through 2013.
Elegante Gewürztraminer uit de Elzas, de standaard cuvée van de 'Cave de Pfaffenheim'. Mooie citroengele kleur en een fruitig-aromatisch bouquet met aroma’s van rijpe peren, honing, marsepein, sinaasappelschil en fijne kruiden. Een viskeuze, vrij krachtige wijn, nogal zoet (waardoor hij moeilijk te combineren is met maaltijden), maar wel zeer evenwichtig en met een aangename, licht kruidige afdronk. Goede aperitief-wijn. Te drinken: nu tot 2013. -

conc: Didnt guess Gewurz blind, but still excellent wine, fresh good stuff
