December 13, 2012 - While Ranch Red is currently tasting a bit past it's prime, it continues to be one of my favorite expressions from Halter Ranch, simply because of its accessibility to many palates and reasonable price point. Medium-bodied, juicy, late summer red fruit that was not wrung-out to extract every last drop of tannin. Perfect to drink by itself. So sad that Halter Ranch will no longer be producing Ranch Red.

July 8, 2012 - Medium purple in color. 15% abv. Nose of ripe blue fruit and black pepper. Flavors of up front blueberry and blackberry, a bit of tar and spice. Quite a tasty Paso table wine. Nice QPR, and a crowd pleaser.
