  May 1, 2014 - Nose of currants, boysenberry, anise, leather and cocoa. After time, gets nose of rose. Opens with berries, with soft, dry notes of cocoa and ending with anise. Lingering. Drinkable with and without food.

  November 24, 2012 - Nose of violets and berries. Taste of berries, tempered with lite notes of cocoa and violets. Well resolved and balanced. Nice lingering finish of violets and licorice.

  October 7, 2012 - Pretty label, pretty in glass, with deep purple-garnet nearly opaque color. Aromas of wild berries open on palate with black raspberries and cherry flavors, structured tannins and bracing acidity. Very good, and interesting effect of the cool-climate vineyards on this varietal.
