  November 27, 2023 - Did not stand the test of time. In the beginning there was still some strawberry madness going on, but due to the missing structure the wine was a little flabby and alcoholic. It was definitely not for the long run.

  January 21, 2012 - Poured through a Finer instead of decanting. Nose full of berries in the glass. Fruit forward on the palette, with a smokey finish.

  January 19, 2012 - Just after opening the nose was gamey to the point of suggesting reduction, and either mellowed with oxidation or tasting into a quite pleasant little funkiness. Big, ripe strawberries dominate the palette, backed up by slight smoke and a hint of leather. Rich, round body. An absolute joy for half off $40, still worth it at full price.

  November 24, 2011 - Had with Thanksgiving dinner - great complement to the meal. Full-bodied and well-balanced with strawberry, cranberry notes. Also noticed pleasant smokiness as well. Would buy again.
