May 30, 2020 - Improved very nicely over several years; Licorice, chocolate; a pleasure to enjoy on its own or with dessert

October 9, 2019 - Fall Fishing Day (The Ranch, WI): Last drank 4 years ago. From 375ml. Seems perfectly consistent with that note. Blackberry syrup, big, some volatility.

February 25, 2017 - Last pour from a 375 opened two nights ago. Still young and primary -- raisin, bittersweet choc, plum, licorice, a little tobacco. Finishes snappy, tannic, and narrow. Will gain a couple points as it loosens up over the next 10+ years.

July 25, 2015 - Dinner at Acqua (Acqua Restaurant & Wine Bar, White Bear Lake, MN): Purple red color. PNP, drank 1 glass over 45 minutes, Very dark blackberry fruit, maybe a bit of black raspberry, anise, spice, oak, medium tannins, medium sweetness.

December 24, 2014 - This wine is maturing nicely. Deep purple, medium to full bodied porto. The tannins are more mellow and integrated with the fruits (plum and maybe blackberry) . Plenty of sediment in the bottle - things are changing. No need to decant, but I didn't savor it long enough to see. One bottle from case of splits is my Christmas gift to my self.
