July 10, 2016 - Excellent Chateauneuf. Decanted 3 hours for Sunday afternoon dinner with friends. Chinese 5 spice powder on the nose. Complex flavors of dark berries, dried herbs, black pepper, cherries, and a bit of black olive on the palate. Good finish. Likely to be at peak. Lucky me.

June 23, 2015 - An Evening at the Grillmaster's House: Funky (touch of VA?), ripe black fruit on nose. violets, chewy mid with good acidity. sweet black fruit (plum) toward the back. some herbs and spice. pepper on the medium long finish.

June 21, 2015 - The nose was dark and soothing with brisk acidity, showing crushed black cherry, garigue, minerals, and hints of dark soil. On the palate, I found silky textures with a balancing wave of vibrant acidity, before giving way to cherry, blackberry, plum and licorice. It was long with saturating dark fruits and sweet herbal tones on the finish. Very Nice.

February 21, 2007 - Nice CdP. More on the elegant, understated side of things. There is a llittle heat on the finish and I would have liked a little more intensity and precision of flavor.
