November 3, 2019 - slight browning in the color, nice fruit in the nose and finish. a bit of licorice in the nose needs to be drunk in the next year

December 28, 2016 - Ruby, brickred and orange to the rim. Cherry and earthy notes, leather, tobacco, spices, a bit smoother than young examples, but the tannins never will melt away before the fruit does. Still nice and a joy to drink, but on its way down the hill. Drink it up!

May 1, 2010 - Saturday Tasting Group (Knightsbridge Wine Shop (Northbrook, IL)): Light and rusty. A little anise, and dusty prunes.
Tarry - Old World in style. A little oxidation - enjoyable.
Some white truffle and artichoke play on the back end of the nose and palate as well.
Real nice.
