December 12, 2017 - Acker BYO 2017 (Tribeca Grille): Never know exactly what you are going to get with old bottles. This seemed like it was in a good, not great spot. Red fruits (more faded) and some earth and overall generally pulled together while not quite being 'on' if that makes sense. Always fun to try the old ones though.

October 19, 2017 - Consistent with previous note. This bottle is less complex.

August 8, 2017 - Alto Piemonte (The Gander, NYC): The smokey complex nose soars from the glass. Full and complex. Gorgeous Nebbiolo wine.

June 11, 2017 - I just love old vallana. Nose has blood, iron, tobacco and red fruit. Palate has good structure and intensity. There is acidity and fruit to make is very interesting. It shows the nebbiolo rusticity. It can still age for longer. 93-94

March 17, 2017 - Amazing Vallana. Pnp. Very complex nose with herbs, prunes, spice, red fruit, iron and blood. Palate is deep with high acidity and lovely sweetness. This wine can age for longer. 93-94
