February 5, 2017 - cheers - delicious CDR, I was lucky to buy 2 bottles go this for $3 each at a garage sale! Very smooth with a little barnyard.

June 29, 2014 - 美しい。This was opened as a reaction from the overly acidic Chiantis of late. At its zenith: this is a balanced, rich and gentle kiss that makes Life beautiful today and will continue to make your life beautiful for at least 5 more years.

Acids M, tannins M and fruit is just beautiful. Long, from a warm place, yet Grenache is restrained... 美しい。

I still remember how this CdR plucked the feathers of the same producer's CdP's from 2006, -07 and '08. In a blind tasting, I'm almost certain I'd have picked this as a typical CdP...

    Edit:
Next day, under cork. Hollwed out and lost some of its smooth verve.

February 26, 2014 - Hjalle, ME och SS letar vin (Hemmavid (Umeå, North of Sweden)): Aged grapes, giving a slight unpleasant or "un-fresh" feeling. Giving a rather thin impression today, singing in a small voice. However. This wine is well balanced, elegant and complete as far as structure is concerned. But it does need more omph. Hoping that the Syrah can wake up more and take the lead.
2 btls to go, next one 2015.

February 25, 2014 - 4th btl out of 7. Slow-oxed 24 hrs. Mellowing CdR of distinction. The Syrah is just waking up.

Still dark red with violet streaks.
    Nose is small yet interesting.
In the mouth, it is a mellowing CdR with M++ acids just piercing through the fruit in a restraining way. M+ tannins could have been more distinct - they strike me as stemmy and bulky. Still fruity, but with good oomph and diversity on the palate. Red fruits dominating. Some herbal aromas prepare the way for a beautiful finish, but the bitter tannins crumble that.
A rustic wine with some hope for the future. Delicious and a fantastic partnership with cold cuts and potato chips with garlic.
2 btls to go, next one 2015.
