Community Tasting Notes 4

February 13, 2019 - Monthly Tasting Group HWS #136; Mourvedre (By RvD): In the bouquet stable, autumn and barnyard impressions. Dark berries and sweet spices as well. On the palate oak, vanilla, toast, dark berries, sweet spices, elegance and length with good acidity and round tannin.

June 28, 2014 - Lots of nuance but lacking in concentration. I probably didn't get it enough time, maybe a short decant would have helped.

October 24, 2011 - takes time to wake up even at 13 years old; starts dull on the nose but fresh and lively if undefined on palate. then grows increasingly interesting bringing together dried fruits, cassis, very light hint of leather and mushroom, fresh berry fruits and uplifting mineral, floral notes. medium weight which is a pleasure and nicely rounded tannins. drinking now but wouldn't surprise me to go another 5 years given that it was still shining the second night with my boudin noir.

July 12, 2010 - Delightful....lacking in concentration (for those who care), but great balance and thoroughly enjoyable. Typical with raspberry, hints of barnyard, smoke and pepper. Nice acidity.
