December 20, 2023 - Served Blind at "The Disciples" Christmas Wine Dinner
Primo guessed it! Drinks like a properly aged Insignia; beautiful and sweet! Dark Chocolate, Vanilla Extract, and even herb like scents. Multilayered & Complex. Decanted for 1.5 hours, then bottled and corked for about 5 hours until drank. -

February 27, 2023 - Rose, petals, spiced, raspberries, and a hint of lavender on the nose. Beautiful light crimson ruby, with zero sign of color degradation. Delicious sweet raspberries with the fruit very much alive and a hit of spice on the finish.

January 20, 2023 - Our love affair with 90s Napa continues and albeit this Insignia is not the top Dog of the 1992 vintage ( Dominus is) still its a great wine. The nose is so open and expressive, dark fruited and with soft leather edge. Where this wine falters is the palate where it’s obvious the lost control of the fruit extraction and ripeness also lacks the elegance of the Dominus for example. Still a solid 93 but really expected a lot more.
