  March 1, 2010 - Really nice old world nose with bacon, pepper, leather. On the palate there wasn't much fruit going on with a little cherry cola, coffee, and white & black pepper going on. Very complex, above average finish but just wanted a little more fruit to push this higher. Most people thought this maybe a ringer as it didn't seem as if it fit a pinot profile. (89)

  February 28, 2010 - Pinot Noir Blind Tasting @ Planet Wine (Planet Wine - Alexandria, VA): White and black pepper...with jalapeno's. Lots of spicy pepper. There was also a lot of leather, tobacco, herbs and coffee too. I also pulled out some bloodiness, clove and mint on the mid-palate. Very complex wine that was showing very well. Great bottle!

  September 28, 2008 - Dull red in color, with the slightest amount of tawniness on the edge. Rich, red berry nose and plush raspberry flavors on the palate. Medium bodied with a long, velvety finish. Surprisingly nice for an older KB; I have more and am looking forward to them in the short term.
