April 4, 2024 - Bottle appeared to be fairly well cellared- (although while the label was not particualry faded, it was held on with a piece of scotch tape). Cork was clean with no seepage. Wine on pour was clear red with some bricking at the rim. Bouquet was slight. Inital taste out of the bottle was somewhat astringent with me thinking there had been significant marsalization.
One day later better but still well over it's prime. It was OK. Still drinkable but I finished the bottle partly out of respect for BS and also drinking a 54 year old wine. Glad I only got the one for a song at auction.

    September 16, 2023 - 已经过了适饮阶段。虽然也有樱桃和山楂的少许果味,但基本被氧化的酱油和葡萄醋味道盖过。单宁已经若有似无,只留下孤独的酸度支撑到最后。

October 14, 2007 - Oxidised. Too much unpleasant acidity. No score.

October 14, 2007 - Tastes like too old sherry and other tertiary, rusty impressions. No score.

But I was extremely disappointed... Nose was acceptable: bright cherry fruit, barnyard, cigarbox. But in the mouth there is nothing but rust, ironwater. Dreadful. Biggest disappointment in my wine-loving life! NR.
