    November 17, 2023 - Not a lot of flavor. Flat. Don’t hold.

March 28, 2021 - Consistent with our last tasting 13 months ago. Incredible effort. Drink 2021-2030. Technical score: 93. Enjoyment score: 95.

February 28, 2020 - Decanted 2-hours ahead of seared garlic-Mediterranean marinated flank steak. Dark, murky, crimson-purple. Floral nose brings usual terroir signature of eucalyptus, forest floor, mint, and herbs. The palate brought razor-sharp, high-toned cherry and cranberry notes which seamlessly faded into deeper blackcurrant, blackberry, and plum notes. Evergreen, tobacco, and scattered blueberry notes then phased into a 60-second evolving finish. Drinking in a nice window, perhaps at peak, but still compact and concentrated enough to be enjoyable for decades. Drink 2020-2030. Technical score: 94. Enjoyment score: 94.

October 21, 2017 - Similar notes as previous. Old school mountain Cab. Drinking well now but plenty of life left if you prefer mature Napa Cabs. 92 pts. PJP 2017.

October 17, 2017 - Up from the cellar to go with an old skool beef and carrots braise. This was a good match to a braised top round with sage and bay served with glazed carrots and parsnips. (A riff on Molly Stevens) nice red fruit, mineral and savory herbs. Thought it would go with the beef and herbs and worried all day about the wild fires and this great site. In a nice expressive place but far from aged out. Lovely.
