September 18, 2012 - ...what sweetstuff said. ;) Not that special to pay $16 Will go with other Piedmont sweets.

August 4, 2012 - Lightly sparkling rosé. Perhaps lacking the ethereal perfume of the best Moscato, but the Brachetto adds red-fruited vibrancy and complexity. An interesting and vibrant blend, romantic and fun to drink. A pink wine with a difference.

June 11, 2012 - 5 pabv; $20/750 ml, Rare Wine Co; Sonoma, CA; Vieux Vins, Inc., Vineburg, CA.

Drank at Dave and Carole's venison dinner for the Trinity bicycle club. The Trombleys can be relied on to bring along with them the purses, wallets, and so forth from start to finish.

Composite over-sized cork; not wired in despite some fizziness. Combination of Moscato and a little Brachetto.

Transparent gray-pink. Considerable fizz with fairly fine beading, but very little left after 24 hours..

Grapy-airy orange to the nose with a certain gentle grassiness and florality, but not by much; the grassiness decreases with a little air.

Drier than the all-Moscato Clarté bottling; delicately sweet, with a mildly lemony juiciness. Perhaps better with holiday foods than a sweeter Muscat would be. Has fine composition and clarity of flavor; the next day still drinks well. A worthy member of the Perrone Moscato series. However, as to style I can't warm up to the grassiness. Give a holler if you ever need a lk

Opened then Veuve Cliquot Yellow Label Brut, followed by the Jean Vesselle Brut Oeil de Perdrix a Bouze, 75670.

By the way, not to speak of the Devil, I ran across a review of the 2009 Clarté Moscato d'Asti on Vay-ner-chuk.

I'm not sure that the above DOC appellation is correct. I thought that this was a trade name. Anyone know?

    Drink 2011-2012.

    April 7, 2012 - Nice dessert wine.

March 17, 2012 - The frolicsome fruity sweetness was sufficiently delicate and balanced with acidity and bubbles for the wine fans; yet my white-Zin-only mom also dug it. What kind of Grinch would not enjoy this? Thumbs up.
