April 10, 2022 - Wow. Nose is crazy complex, candied apricot, honey, mushroom, forest floor, ripe and luscious despite the age. This whips. More of the candied apricot, veering into tropical, slate and gravel, more mushroom, acid still electric, tying the room together. Fuuuuuuuuuuu.

Note: it started going very lacto cheesey after about an hour. Consume quickly.

February 6, 2019 - This wine is weird and interesting.
On the nose: wax, dense, earthy, vulcanic, minerally, wet dog. So many things going on; never smelled anything like it. That is not to say that I am crazy about it.

On the palate: bone dry, high in acidity, low alcohol. A surprising spiciness (pepper) coming through. Very balanced: harmonious and rich without being fat. Great length.

Overall: a fine wine, clearly high quality and interesting complexity. Certainly unique, however, a bit too weird for me.

November 6, 2018 - Typical CdS from that time, but lacking in concentration in comparison to better vintages due to poorer vintage. This bottle was simpler than one could hope for.
