November 8, 2013 - Super rich, cedar and spice nose. Remarkably dense for its light, garnet color and California origin. The is an initial effervescence on the tongue, which feels weird, but the classic pinot flavors and perfumed aromas come through and the initial effervescence blows off after a few minutes in the glass. Plenty of fruit left, but to me more of a port-like stewed prune flavor that evidences the wine's age.

June 30, 2012 - Big rich chewy voluptuous pinot - almost cab-like. Others suggested syrah-like. Drinking very well. Got lots of red fruits, hint of sweet tropical fruit, decent acidity. Surprising well balanced at abv 15+. Would buy more if I could find them.
