Community Tasting Notes 42

April 14, 2024 - As other tasters mention - this is drinking fine now in its early drinking window with softer and more mature notes of both dark and red fruits. It is still a powerful wine but it has a mineral spine to keep the balance.

March 14, 2024 - Showing beautifully. Probably within its ideal drinking window. These Chevillons take awhile to come together but when they do…a really harmonious wine appears in the glass. Drink.

June 3, 2023 - Outstanding bottle. Nose wasn’t as giving as I would like but the palate more than made up for it. Layers of dark cherry fruit, some damp earth, and enough tannic grip beneath the fruit to be convincing that this can go the distance. No harm drinking one now, in a great place, but if you like aged flavors, hold for another 5-10+.

April 18, 2022 - This is just starting to unfurl - plenty of time left, but just fantastic right now firing on all cylinders. Brambly fruit with nice structure and a light mineral core.
