December 24, 2017 - One of the best Mexican wines I have had. Feels like a Bordeaux with good balance and structure. Perfect timing to drink.

May 30, 2011 - Agree with other reviewer on impressive bottle. This was a fun bottle to try and open while in Mexico but it was quite tart and had a fair amount of heat. Perhaps it will be better with age.

March 18, 2011 - First impression is the extremely heavy high end bottle and the long high quality cork. Very impressive, with the wine makers name (Laura Jamora) and the company emblem embossed in the glass. Very impressive. Just hoped that Santo Tomas did not spend all their efforts in the bottle. And they didn't.
Dark red color with adobe red rim. Nose of plums and raisins. The first impression disappoints a bit compared to the nose, but it comes back with a nice long finish (black berries and sour cherry). A little bit tart at the end and I wonder how it develops after a few years more in the bottle.
Probably not worth the $45, but maybe $30 plus $15 for the extra effort of the bottle and cork. One of the more serious baja wines.
