February 23, 2024 - good not great showing. Well delineated flavors and aromas, with soil, orange marmalade and white flowers. Pretty and fine, but a bit into the backside of its preferred curve. Color and fill were vg. Drink now.

September 6, 2023 - From half and another excellent showing. Didn’t have the sweetness of the ’97, but had equally rich fruit and a bit more dimension that age gives. There’s a hint of lanolin to the nose and plenty of dried apricot and honey. It has vanilla spice and such great complexity as it evolves with every sip. The finish is clean and bright and leaves a calling card of dried fruits and honey.

August 21, 2022 - Held to it for 32 years and multiple moves. Didn't expect much after the subpar storage conditions. Finally opened for special occasion. Cork disintegrated and initial oxidized notes. Within an hour, it turned to something special. Overtones of dark caramel, almond and butterscotch. Not overly sweet and yet satisfying. Left little for the next day and it was still consistent. Very enjoyable and a life journey experience.

August 20, 2022 - Mid-Aged Zinfandel and Cali Cab Dinner (Casa Garard - Northfield IL): Great color, wonderfully youthful and vibrant. Fresh and dried apricot throughout, this is moderately sweet without ever being cloying or bitter. Everything harmonious. Thanks, Jamie and Linda!

August 20, 2022 - Chez Garard older Zinfandels and Cali Cabs: Unbelievable youthful color for a 42 year old btl of wine. Excellent all they way thru dessert, Even after copious amounts of wine, this was singing. No bitterness on the finish. Just pure deliciousness. This is the year I met my wife and she is still so young to me. BUY/Drink if you must.
