December 19, 2023 - After an hour or two this was really singing, although there are some slightly drying tanins that prevent a higher score. Overall this is a great wine and feels full of life. More recent vintages are sadly quite expensive in the UK market in comparison to class growth Bordeaux.

July 29, 2023 - C & YM Birthday Dinner (Empire Chinese Cuisine): Blind. Left over from a dinner 2 days ago. Oak, raisiny, dry tannins. Not the most representative of Ridge I have had.

July 27, 2023 - Fantastic new-worlds: Brought for a friend. A sturdier, darker wine than the Heitz. Quite dense but thought age had done this wine good by reining in the exuberance and scale of the wine. Some mint and eucalyptus notes that bore some similarities to the Heitz.

July 26, 2023 - Fantastic. Still fresh and vibrant. Integrated tannins and balanced fruit. Still has some time to go. Needs at least an hour to open

March 13, 2023 - Coravin fun - Ridge range (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. Medium minus intensity aromas initially that, with agitation, show a little alcohol prickle, vanilla, backing spices, muted black hued fruits; oak in the ascendancy here. Initially a fair like of oak on the palate as well then a slowing growing blackcurrant and cream note takes over. Gentle, slightly chalky rasp, long. Very good.
