November 23, 2018 - Still tannic and acidic even with a long decant. Very warm palate of truffle, dusty earth, baked raspberry and mint. Only real complaint is the finish is short and watery. Not sure it ever fully will come around.

October 19, 2018 - More fruit as compared to the 1998. Great, long finish. Very enjoyable.

December 7, 2015 - Served at lunch at Amuz. Chiro's bottle. While it is fun to drink, I would wait a couple of more years for the flavors to fully integrate. Decanted for 20 mins and served. Nice nose of fresh currants and hints of chocolate. Lovely fruitbut missing the structure of a great wine. Would expect more from a Gaja. Is it the vintage?

September 25, 2014 - Smooth earthy rock but fabulous.

May 9, 2014 - Zachy's Wine Auction - Spring 2014 (Smith & Wollensky (48th & 3rd Ave)): Very much a baby which is crazy given this is 15 year old wine. It's got a lot of tannins, underneath there's an almost effervescent cough syrup. I get a bit of cinnamon as well. Thought it was a very decent wine. Not overly wow'ed, but I'd drink it again. Prob a 90-92, but deferring to Mike who really liked it.
