A perfect cork after a decade and a half in the bottle. Consumed over three days. This wine started a little tight with firm acidity, but opened up and showed better the next day. This wine benefitted from gentle oxygen and had softened to reveal increased depth, texture, and integrated complexity by day two. It still had not fallen apart by day three revealing its potential longevity. 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Sangiovese, 20% Merlot blend was more Boudreaux and less Super Tuscan. Dark red color with no to no oxidation, and clarity medium. Aromas of black cherry, chocolate, and tobacco. Flavors of blackberry, plum, raspberry, and fresh mushroom. This balanced and flavorful wine blend has a beautifully long finish. This age worthy wine may have many more years of life left. I still have one bottle of this vintage remaining; I may open it next year to verify my rating. A great fruit source and a good winemaking effort. -

November 23, 2018 - Aging exceptionally well. Smooth and velvety across the tongue. My patience in waiting for this one has been rewarded.
