Community Tasting Notes 11

May 5, 2024 - At Schwarzer Adler in Vogtsburg. Dried leaves and cloves. Rather extracted fruit of dark cherry and dried strawberry, but pretty much suppressed and only present in background. Notes of anis and minor add-ons of mint and savory notes. Rather sandy and marginally coarse tannin. Lacks breadth. While a good wine still and clearly from good descent, this came in well below expectations. Either this was closed, or then the fruit is already disappearing suggesting either premox or overextraction.

March 3, 2024 - Outstanding aromatics. Dried red fruit, rose petals, damp soil, iron, blackberry, and a but of vanilla.
    Incredibly clean and focused.
Medium body, medium acid, low+ tannin.
Straight out of the gate this is fantastic but some air will bring more nuance in the glass.
This is exceptional and will drink well for the next 10 years easily.

Pronounced nose intensity with notes of ripe red fruits, truffle, mushroom, toast. Medium+ acidity and medium tannin.

February 25, 2023 - Pronounced nose intensity with notes of ripe red fruits, truffle, mushroom, toast. Very enjoyable. Medium+ acidity and medium tannin. Well balanced on the palate. This will get better with ageing.
