August 20, 2016 - I'm on the fence - there were some very interesting and enjoyable aspects to this wine. But in the end, it showed more oak than I prefer.

June 16, 2015 - Drank at Oinoscent wine bar. Medium to dark straw. Expressive and complex nose of nectarine, apricot, quince, beeswax, acacia flowers and marzipan. Some hints of undergrowth indicating maturity. Oak effect is perfectly integrated despite 24 months in oak. Almost full-bodied, creamy and dense with medium to low acidity and a slightly bitter aftertaste. Long aftertaste. Excellent.

May 12, 2015 - Decant and drink a bit warmer than you normally might
Dried apricot, thyme, touch of pool shed on the nose. Pear, persimmon. Acid is fine. Finish is a bit weak. Overall enjoyable.
If my comments don't connect with the 91 score it's because this didn't evolve much. First sip was just as pleasurable as last. Was excited upon opening and a bit disappointed at the finish. Probably give this 1-3 years.1 person found this helpful Comment -

February 17, 2015 - Enjoyed this with Isa's moqueca! Medium to full body, rich, almonds, honey, lots of goodness here.

April 14, 2014 - Guigal Hermitage blanc 2007-2009 (Winegate): Clear med gold color.
The nose is clean, med+ intensity, offering more complexity than 2007 & 2008, almond notes, a thin layer of oak, ripe pear, never ending presence in the glass, youthful.
The wine is dry, med+ body and intensity, med acidity and alcohol (14%), ripe fruit, balanced, pineapple and pear, a few bitter refreshing notes in the med+ finish.
Outstanding quality, premium price, drinking already but can hold
